Sounds great, the production is super tight. Followed, this is the kind of techno I love

thanks, happy how this one turned out

here's what the arrangement view looks like if anyone is interested in workflow stuff

was mostly done with a vanilla ableton install and maschine 1.5 install on a plane ride (never use my laptop for producing and didn't having anything else), just replaced a few of the stock FX plugins with some other vsts when I got home and had access to my studio computer and added a small modular bit.

Kick is just a sample from maschine. Sub bass just comes from the bass track and I used an audio effect rack to split it by frequency bands and only the low end is sidechained with the kick.

that was pretty good man. definitely had a CLR vibe. i was kinda disappointed with the way the track came back after the break. was looking for a more gripping "drop" (for lack of a better word). also it seemed like it took a bit too long for the second cymbal (ride?) to come in. lastly, it didn't have that gripping melody that makes you come back over over.

    just my two cents.

i will say you did a nice job picking some unconventional sounds. i totally wasn't expecting that slightly off beat clank-like sound.

is this done or still a work in progress?

Thanks for the feedback. I got to a point with it over the weekend where I felt like if I spent any more time with it I would start doing more harm than good, and I was kind of happy with it where I felt it would fit into a set. Based off some feedback I may go back when I get time and add another element to try to take it up a notch. I'm thinking a simple raw sounding bleepy analog hook.

Yea, I am loving this track, very dark and gritty sound, yet deep and atmospheric. Agree on bluegrassdj's point about choice of sound.
