where do you all upload content (your mixes and what not) when you want to send them to friends or promote, etc?

A lot of people use Soundcloud.com as a (semi)permanent home for their mixes. I do. It works well and is pretty easy to use even for people who don't usually use it.

If I'm uploading something that's a work in progress or that I'm only giving to a few people I use zippyshare.com; people can listen to the songs without actually having to download them, unlike a lot of other silimiar websites.

yah i second zippyshare, you have have parallel downloads and theres literally no wait for dl's as compared to rapidshit and what nots. Also sendspace mite be good because it allows files up to 300mb in size if your encoding at higher bit rates.

we use house-mixes and soundcloud, as you get feedback etc on your stuff, and no upload limits.

    My personal webspace.

Or, soundcloud. The free version, is, ehhh whatever... but it works without requiring registration or ad spam, and I like the waveform preview thing.

oop, i'm pretty sure you're limited to 5 uploads a month?

however, I agree.. soundcloud is the way forward - as it's really audience friendly - there's nothing worse than an upload space that looks like a geeky hacker site, cos no-one'll bother going there. At least soundcloud looks nice

Megaupload is good for a long term reference point too.
