Mic questions w/traktor!!

Hey guys

I am running a Numark Mixdeck pro and a X1 with Traktor pro. I want to record my mic via the live input either on deck C or D. But Im not sure if this is possible with my mic just being plugged into the Mixdeck mic input. But if it is i was hoping that someone can help me out on how to set that up. If not than a how to guide/link on how to get Traktor to recognize a USB mic.

Can you route mic in to deck as live input?

Are you connecting a MIC to your Mixdeck, or are you using a usb mic?? Can't be both, especially considering that the Mixdeck doesnt have a USB mic connection, right?

Choose a deck (A/B/C/ or D). Click on the down-pointing arrow under the deck's letter. Change the deck type to "Thru". In the preferences, select your microphone as your input.

That's assuming that your Mixdeck doesnt have your microphone bypassing everything right to the master output..
