    Default diy controller

So I've seen loads of people have made these so I want in on the action.
How do I do it lol. If I use a pc controller can I set up say 16 buttons and a pot like midi fighter.
Or could I even use one of these?

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=370719132553

It support 22 buttons so it would be ideal for MF clone but since it send HID signal you should use loopMIDI or some other virtual MIDI cable and HID-MIDI convertor to send MIDI to Software.

Have a look at my gamepad DIY controller:

very nice. im not majorly sure on what i want from it. I just thought if i copied the design of the mf i could use the mad sample packs.
Although i would like 2 encoder pots. 1 for scrolling effects and one for wet dry. Then maybe a beatmasher build up, so 4 buttons. sync, play/pause, hotcues, and hotcue delete. anything else? lol
Wpuld that pcb in the link work for encoders, analogue inputs?

hmmm. how easy would be to just make a simple 16 button unit like the midi fighter just to trigger one shot samples? then i could map effects to trigger on the samples if i wish.

Why not 20? That way you can have 16 buttons for transport and effects and four more for bank selection. It's easier than hacking gamepad and solider wires directly to board like I did

My board was USB gamepad like mentioned. My friend made box for me and all I did was to solider everything together and made top plate out of peace of laminate. It's still under construction tho, need to add fourth row of arcades and LED feedback. I'm using Rejoice HID-MIDI converter which is pretty easy to configure but it's only windows I think.
