Hey guys.....I'm wondering if it is a little newbie to use synth or drum loops in track production. Do other producers notice when you use a loop??? Or is it all fine and dandy if you do?
PS- I mean loops that you don't produce yourself!

Sampling and using loops is the core of dance music.
If it sounds great, use it.
Yes it is definitely frowned upon.
Sampling does not equal using loops.
Oh and, are you trolling? Theres something that is to be proud of about making a track and knowing you did everything on it- using loops is a way of pretending you do that to uneducated people. Why would you even want to do that?
Clyde Stubblefield's drum loops have been used hundreds of times over in so many tracks. Hip-hop and turntablism wouldn't exist if it wasn't for stealing peoples loops. I agree that it is more genuine if you create your own, but for you to say there is a definite right or wrong way to create art is pretty ignorant

Sampling loops is different than derping over to a torrented vengeance sample pack or similar.
Being creative with loops is also different.
I totally agree with that. sample something fresh and you'll be fine.
At the same time he said he is a "newbie" so for the sake of learning keep it simple, even if that means copping someone else sounds for awhile

Using loops in such a way that your track sounds like a bunch of unmodified loops pasted together is generally frowned upon.. by other producer wankers who can recognize that's what you've done. This is 1/1000th of the potential audience for your track. The actual audience can't tell that's what you've done.. and don't care.
