I am downloading this and loading it onto my phone for a proper listen at the office tomorrow. I will give you some feedback very soon. Do you have a track list?

So I listened to your mix. Here are the positives; The tracks line up very well and (beat match). No clashing scales that I could tell. The beats lock up well and form like the robot Voltron. Overall, a solid mix, I especially like the track selections from minute 35ish to minute 66ish. I think that’s Jay Lumen in there around the 43rd minute correct?

I couldn’t really tell if any effects were used, which I think add to the mix when done in good taste, not dominating the mix or missing from the mix. Again this is subjective, meaning this is what I look for and appreciate as a DJ and mix aficionado. If they were used they were done so minimally which many people do like, just not my ideal taste.

Track Selection initially was vocally. I do love some good female R&B vocals but I am not into the male r&B style vocals. With Male vocals I think Indie style fits better into the tech house genre, radiohead remixes come to mind here. The track with the sample of the guy barking was not my favorite but I am sure it has its right audience somewhere. I really think there are two vibes to your mix, the initial 30 minutes which were the vocally singing section. This section didn’t make me want to groove, the track selection was not my favorite. Everything after the first 30 or so was awesome, just solid stuff. I would absolutely rock this section of the mix or dance on the dance floor. We own many of the same tracks in looking at your track list that you sent to me and listening to your mix  .

In summary, solid mixing, track selection after the first 1/3 was awesome, I am sure many people would like the first 1/3rd but not my taste for vocally tracks. Keep knocking those mixes out.

    I have the following questions:

    1. What do you spin on?
    2. What software if applicable?
    3. Where do you buy your tracks?

    Appreciated every word..

Well, im practicing beatmatching so i dont use sync button and yes, there are few mistakes but.. After listenin mix 2 times i realise that mistakes are little bit hard to hear..
About effects, i really think that effects in techhouse should be minimally used 'cuz i dont like to 'rape' track too much.. A little iceberg, delay and filter (as i remember) at 30-40%.. At first, i wanted to play some deep techhouse (?) but, as u, i also like some groovy stuff so i changed my playlist at the moment.. I wanted to put all 'weird' tracks in playlist, but that would be too much

I use Traktor S4 and buyin tracks at beatport, ofc.. Also using traxsource a little bit.. Anyway, what i dont like, and i have a fckin problem with that - i dont like playing with a laptop.. Why? Im watching waveforms and I already know when to start next track.. I wanna be 'random' so im thinkin to buy some CDJs.. I know its easier with laptop, but..

Thank you for sharing your opinion with me. I hope i'll get better and better..

I can very much appreciate not wanting to look at waveform and steering from sync. Being an old technics guy, economics forced my hand into the digital arena. I myself have been concentrating more on old sckool beat match rather then relying on proper beatgrids. Either way is legit in my mind I just know my ear wont fail me like the fear of a bunk beat grid could. I am following you on sound cloud so I look forward to January's edition.
