Is it possible to connect a 5.1 multimedia speaker system to a Hercules Rmx?

Cool, sounds like a plan then. Do the splitters need to be of a certain quality or grading or are cheap ones of eBay good enough? Also where would you put the splitter for the third pair of speakers?

I am actually thinking of just running two splitters giving me front r+l, centre and sub output from the sound card on my Rmx controller and then run the other pair for the output on my PC - would this be okay to have this connected up all at once? Just saves having to switch cables from PC to controller all of the time...
