Well, it depends on what the casting criteria is but the end state will be the same.

If they (by some miracle) have a set of judges etc that know what they're on about then it could be that the people selected are actually good DJ's/Producers that need that step to get be on the stage. However, they will be forever marked as ''the one that won that show''

But then again, that wont matter, as the people who would go to see them or give them a gig at a club wont know any different. And those giving them the gig stand to make too much money to care.

If they have a bunch of morons judging that have no idea, the end will pretty much be the same. Guy/Girl gets gig-Club makes money-producers of the show make even more. Rinse+repeat for the next few years.

Its Sad that this will be about money ultimately and not getting good people out there, but we'll all watch it, we'll all criticise and we'll all be sad.
