    So Akai posted this picture on Twitter:



    Apparently being announced at NAMM, I can't access their website atm, but it looks like a LPD8 but actual hardware, rather than a controller... Seems pretty cool.

    looks like it has an SD card input, which could definitely be used for loading up your own samples. also appears to be some more I/O on the right hand side of the unit
