    Default Traktor Kontrol X1 Inside

    Hey Guys,

I bought 2 weeks ago a Traktor Kontrol X1 via Ebay. I wanted to install it, but there was a hardware problem. Native Instruments wanted to change them for 69€. This was to expensive for me so i repaired by myself. There was just a broken soldered point on a inductance(?). Just wanted to share 2 pictures inside of the X1.536938_467921636606079_995729732_n.jpg603002_467921976606045_714358266_n.jpg

This is what you did before there was midi and disposable gear. Good job.

Yup, that's why they get wobbly relatively fast and why A&H put so much emphasis on stating that the K2 had metal nutted knobs.

How easy are the X1's to pull apart? i removed all the screws on "lefty" but am a bit apprehensive pulling the thing open.

There is no problem to open a X1... It's best to pull only the potentiometer knobs from then do you just unscrew all on the back. Now you can remove the top shell and the bottom shell easily. Then only the few screws on the board. (Note rubber buttons are not attached). I'm an electronics engineer and have a lot to do with circuit boards, the quality of a consumer product is actually very good, I could only find one negative coil on top of the page has been reworked (this happens in the manufacturing process, but has no impact) ... I saw because there was little flux. the rest totally awesome, the only thing not so great is the plastic potentiometers and micro buttons.

Sorry for my bad english (google translater )
