    Default Firewire

I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to this.
    I have an Alienware M11x R3.
    Ports are:
    Usb 2.0
    2 Usb 3.0
    4 pin firewire
I'm considering a trade for a korg zero 8. Problem is that the korg only has firewire ports. I would like to know what would be my best bet when it came to connecting this.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I was also curious as to what kind of usb hubs you guys use.

The zero 8 was discontinued mainly due to bad rep of it's soundcard. This mean you won't be getting any driver updates. I'd stay away from it.

yeah, i would definitely do a bunch of research on the bad qualities, because i've seen a lot of negative comments about that mixer and only a few positive ones...be careful.

I really don't need it for a sound card. Would I be fine if I used a midi to usb?

You could but you won't be able to use the Ableton script for it, among other things. Unless you are getting it extra cheap I would aim for a pair of Xone K2 or a UC33e
