    Default Ultimate controller?

Ultimate controller for both production and Djing? As for now I'm exploring the wonders of the DJ world and I love trying new combinations setup wise. But I've come to a stage, where I would like to try production as well. Not serious song production, but samples and loops that can be implemented in the mix. Other than that I would also like to have sort of a "mini" setup, when I'm on the road!

So to sum up, the needs are as following for a controller.
It should be able to produce loops/samples
    - Able to be used beside my kontrol x1 for djing when on the road?
    - Able to be used with ableton or maybe remix decks with my main setup (see signature)
    - Able to shoot off the sweet loops/samples I've made, live.

Are there an ultimate controller, whom fulfill these needs?

I know I haven't described everything into much detail, but post what you think would be a good controller for everything.
Oh and keep in mind that I don't have my pockets filled with money, so thinking of the price before posting would be nice

Controllers I think would be an option,
    Akai Apc40?
    Ipad?

Another option would be to wait for NAMM and see what's coming?

Don't worry about controlling ableton while you're playing live. If you want to trigger the loops you've made in ableton, do it with traktor's remix decks. For that you need either an F1 or a midi fighter 3D. Either can be mapped to control ableton while you're making loops in the studio, and mapped to control the remix decks when you play live. I'd strongly urge you towards the MF3D, as it isn't a locked-down system like the F1, so you can map it with traktor, and you can do much more with mapping it in ableton.

As far as a mobile setup goes, I don't know what level you're at... So I don't know what kind of gear will be available to you when you play live. If you're at least at a level where your gigs have CDJs and/or turntables, use timecode CDs/vinyl along with your X1 for mixing, and use the MF3D/F1 for remix deck control. Remember that you'll need at least a 3 channel mixer at the event if you want to use the remix decks, though.

^ holy shit. That thing is fucking awesome.
This is news. I'm now rethinking my new setup, which was going to be a pair of MF3Ds, and might now be this, $100 cheaper.

First of all, thanks for all the replies, I'm grateful.

Yes I use my turntables 'live' and yes my empath have three channels Deck A, Deck B and the third channel is still available.
The mf3d looks good, but I'm a little concerned.
can I use this and a kontrol x1 to mix, with nothing else? (when I'm on the road i would like to have a small setup i can drag around to different places)

    To steves reply,
Holy jesus, that thing looks good I live in Europe, so the prices are gonna be a bit different over here
Do you know if it's released in Europe yet?

No... With traktor, you will always need a mixer, or at least mixer controls. This is why I asked about what kind of gear your gigs have available... If you're playing gigs that don't have a DJ mixer, you're really overthinking the live element of what you do.
