    Default Nurmark Goes Wireless?

    http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/23/n...j-controllers/

Nurmark is releasing updates of their Mixtrack, iDJLive, NS7, and releasing what looks like a Midi Fighter 3d meets a Simon Says called Orbit.

But more interesting is that they're going with the units wireless.

    What's your say on this?

    My opinions:
Being a Nurmark fan boy, I typically hold them to a higher plane than most others. They're great, just basic.

I like the direction they went with the Mixtrack. Having the pads is awesome, and it looks thinner and easier to lug around. I'm still personally waiting for a 4 channel Mixtrack.

The Orbit looks like it might be neat to just have and show off but practically speaking, having a jogwheel on a "handheld" controller seems somewhat backwards. You're going to be holding it with one hand, and scratching with the other? I guess if you're good with no crossfader. I'd picture the Orbit is more for just hot cuing/effects.

Now the wireless-ness. It's going to be something special to be able to go in the crowd and djing, but much with anything wireless, there's going to be some latency. My fear is what happens if you're djing and step out of your range? And are the buttons are going to have any sort of delay even with fine tuning on your system?

Now I'm just worried about the size and the usb placement.

For $99 this is like a cheap MF3D with a giant effects wheel, extra buttons, and an arm strap. I might have to get one of these.

    yea know what
i have been watching technology like this for so long i cant remember when it all started

But as a start off (to release in spring 2013) this "toy" as it seems
might be just the tip of the iceberg for them

Yes i do agree that the USB placement is a bit well..... LEFT HANDED
i mean, look at where it is.
Most people will use it right handed
I am left handed so i would slip it over my RIGHT hand and the USB would trail along my arm

i have more to say about this but ill post it up later
