Default Pioneer announced DJM-5000 DJ Mixer at DJ Expo USB and MIDI controll

So this is Pioneers new product:
    http://forums.pioneerdj.com/eve/foru...04/m/244101662

The DJM-5000 will be available in October 2009 for a manufacturers’ suggested retail price of $1,275.00.
The DJM-5000 is equipped with a six-channel (three stereo pairs) USB Audio Interface. The connection allows direct plug-in from a laptop computer** to the mixer over the USB connection without using an additional external sound card.
The mixer is fully functional as a flexible MIDI controller. Sixty-one of the DJM-5000’s seventy-three buttons, knobs and sliders are assignable to transmit control data via MIDI signal to a laptop’s USB port while running any MIDI-compatible DJ software.

Am i the only one that gets disappointed by pioneer's recent releases? Yes I was stoked and drooled over the cdj-1000 first came out, and i do remember the days the djm-600 and efx-500 came out in the late 20th century and they shocked and impressed the world for many years to come. but now their products seem to be a bland rehash of their previous technologies. I for one would love to see a cdj platter style midi controller with a vci-100 layout, audio interface and mixer w/ phono/line ins for vinyl and or traktor scratch. That would be drool material for me.

Dude, there's a Dynamics knob and a Clarity knob?

That reminds me of the "Brighter" knob in Mixmeister's journal. "Turn this knob and everything gets more DYNAMIC"
    It's the FAQ. Read it.

I agree on the VCM-600 or a zero 4, this really needs more knobs for effects? and buttons for triggering.
