I find that a cheap fog machine helps lighting a lot. There doesn't even have to be enough for there to be a "fog", just enough for the lights to cut through adds to the lights effects. I have a ADJ Revo 4, and a ADJ Micro Galaxian that I throw in a backpack, and that $300 worth of lights is tripled in value when I get a shot of fog on the floor.

thats great advice, its essentially what we did as well. rented a couple hundred bucks worth of lights and placed a fog machine in front of the booth
