Default Audio 8 - everytime I plug it in "found new hardware"

    hey everyone,

I've been trying to get my traktor scratch pro running and its just been one issue after another.

At this point i've got to where everytime I plug in the USB cable for the audio 8 DJ it goes into the "Found New Hardware Wizard" and asks for drivers ... I go through the process and install automatically - then it does it a second time and its good.

I've installed the Audio 8 DJ Drivers off of the NI website [2.0.10] and still , everytime I plug in the usb cable, prompts me to install the drivers.

Does anyone have a solution for this ridiculousness ??

i'm not sure exactly what you mean by that.

I've got windows update turned off as well as the network card is disabled.

there are also some other internal hardware in the device manager that I haven't installed the drivers for but thats really all I can think of off the top of my head.

What I ment was that if you manually disabled any windows service on the services preferences or using the msconfig application in windows. But according with what you are saying that is not the case.

Make sure you use always the same port for connecting the interface, because it will request reinstallation for every new usb port

Has this been like this since you own the audio 8 or it started after any upgrade or change in your laptop?

Also are you logged as a use with administrator rights user in windows?

alien2k thanks for all the help you've given and are willing to continue to give.

I've decided to sell this DELL at a 200 dollar loss and just say "fuck it" and go mac for my laptop DJ'ing needs. I'm over it. I'm sooooooo tired of trouble shooting shit with this laptop. Its gone - end of story.

But if you have any advice on MAC purchases - let it fly!
