no need to apologize my man
i come from the old school and by that i dont mean like when Britney was wearing school girl clothes
i mean since Breakdancing was still and up and coming crazy
Music for me starting in the late 70s. (yes i just said that)
So when the term MixTape, hit all of us, it meant something specific.

Today i see a lot of "Rap websites / djs" calling their mixes, mix - tapes, just the same
and it just sounds like a mix. Not to break the topic but at least this is still bumping your thread.

So i check their mixes, and it sounds like, .... a mix.

back in the day, a mix tape was basically

    UNMIXED songs back to back
each artist was contacted to produce something specific for that tape
and submitted / approved to be released on the tape

It was a collaborative way to get your release filled with a bunch of music.
And the kicker was, that each artist who made it to the tape, was given a set number of copies
which they had to distribute, before the originator released any of his.

True generous in my opinion...... ok back to the topic

the mix is not available my man
when i click the link, i see my dashboard
also when i look at the original post you made here, it says "This is not currently available"
maybe you have it set to private?

    haha thats brilliant,

i think i used the term as i remember my dad using in when i was a kid, he used to have all sorts of badly recorded cassete tapes that had a load of diff tunes from various people. i cant even tell you if i remembered if they were mixed together... but from what youve explained i highly doubt they were...

i have no idea why it wont play for you?

heres a link to the soundcloud page theres 3 'mix's' there the one associated with this thread is the third.

maybe this theory i have been working on about Soundcloud and Mixcloud are finally coming true

i still have more to look into about them but it seems:
Not everyones profile is available to everyone else
    also
if you have certain songs listed in your mixes, the prohibits the files from being available to members according to what area they are located in.

Bottom line..... they dont disclose that information to you (as the paid account holder) and they should
Also..... with that in mind... i guess its not all its cracked up to be

when i click your link, i click this
    https://soundcloud.com/#dj-k7-2/afte...n-3-march-2013

but in my browser it goes to this
    https://soundcloud.com/#dj-k7-2/afte...n-3-march-2013

    looks the same right?
but look at the screen shot
I see no info about youafterhouse-missing.jpg

something fishy if you ask me!

    fishy is 100% correct
i own an online radio station and many djs have sent me their link to check out their mix as a submission to get on the station.
Several times when i goto it, there is nothing there
and sometimes (not many) when i go directly to their profile page it either
    A) has no mixes on it
    or
    B) their profile just doesnt come up
even if i search for it. Its not in the results. Honestly there is something fishy about this whole (paid) thing for some time now
and i keep seeing that NOW they offer a better premium package?
    no - effin way
