    Default America's Best DJ 2009 Top 10

So the list is as follows:
    1. z-trip
    2. steve porter
    3. qbert
    4. kaskade
    5. Scotty boy
    6. dj shadow
    7. danny tanaglia
    8. cedric grevalis
    9. enferno
    10. scribble

My beef is that DJ Shadow played only one show in 2009. I feel that to be nominated you should have had to had played at least 20 shows in the year of the award, to prevent just "big names" from taking the prize. Guys who are on the road playing night after night (Steve Aoki & A-Trak) should get some recognition for their tireless and timezone-less work ethic.

Does anyone actually care about Top Whatever lists?

I haven't even heard of 50% of those people.

We all know that top names is really just that.. names people know. Sure they may also have alot of skill behind the decks, but I can also guarrantee that they are alot of unknown dj's, whether gigging out, or still in the bedroom with the same abilities as alot of the top guys.

So for me, I think its a +1 to jack's comment.

The only names on that list I'm really familiar with are Kaskade and Cedric Grevalis, and I'm a fan of both of their music. Everyone else I either haven't heard of or (more importantly) haven't heard their music.

Also, who's putting these lists together, and who are they for?

Edit: and why is my name not on this list?

^^^ Even without the turntablism, he deserves some kind of award for that costume.

But really, that is impressive. Whatever he's doing at like 4:04, that's awesome. Makes me wish I could afford vinyl gear.

haha he has a whole video of scratch routines where he dresses up in wierd costumes like a drunken monkey, spiderman on a bus, etc.

He is a wierd guy, but does some dope work on the tables.

i think we should do a DJTT top 10. and not a "djs who post the most" or anything like that, but who on here is really the best DJ. voted on by us. i think that would be kind of cool.
