That is the point. It is absurd because he thinks the idea of people getting upset over legally downloaded tracks that they bought from a producer who likes giving away his stuff for free is absurd.

There are tons of great free tunes on Soundcloud for various reasons. Some are too old to sell. Some can't be released because samples couldn't clear. Some dudes are just cool. Civic Music has nearly a gig of free tunes on their site. Machine Drum and Om Unit release tunes on the regular. I don't see the big deal. As long as the dude isn't stealing released tunes and the music is good, who cares?
