I stand corrected. It doesn't make up for a lack of knowing basic signal flow and the difference between Line level and phono level though.

I chalk it up to a TON of newb DJ's who've jumped in head first and want the immediate gratification of playing out before they understand the basics of audio signals, connectors, signal flow, etc.
