    Default LIVID DIY Design Competition

I have been looking into building myself a LIVID controller and I was hoping someone on here could help me out with a design, I want to use all LIVID controls, have 32 buttons, 4 deck mixing control plus other fun stuff.

The person who comes up with the best design with have the controller named after them and $10 sent to them via pay pal.

    Let see your ideas guys!

Images would be great! Put you creativity to the max!

Btw 10 dollars is a joke... But I might send you a bath and body works coupon.

There is Livid DIY competition in progress as we speak. Not sure when it ends up but we'll be able to see all the great stuff people did come up with their DIY line. Maybe you can find some ideas for your unit there but I'm also curious what DJTT members have on their mind.

I am assuming he wont be using either. ANd be doing an actual DIY Controller using the Livid Brain v2, and many of the accessories they sell. Or other third parties.

I am doing the same this summer Notice. Except mine is going to be a "Mixing Desk" per se for my live performance setup controlling most of the transport functions in Ableton which works along side the Maschine and Push.

Are you trying to pretty much recreate an S4 type thing yourself?

Similar but I want to have great custom mapped functions for I am more knowledgeable with mapping then building. But I just want to have ultimate Traktor Controller.

Jeezus thats an absolute rip off! Are Livid's designers that un-original that they can't come up with their own ideas, if so they need an over-haul . .

$10 dollars is an awful 'fee', I can understand you're not all Ergonomists, Electronics Engineers, Mould Design Specialists but still they should offer a much better 'prize' rather than your name on the 'design'.

I'm a Product Design student (second year BSc) and I wouldn't even consider a fee for a 2 week project for less than $750! Call me greedy but your doing your saving the company hiring a professional free-lancer who would charge a considerate amount more, min $1,400 for 2 weeks work!!

Not targeting you guys, but its awful that the company are free loading off of others creativity and seriously under cutting both you guys and the professional community . .

I'm not really sure why you're ranting... Do you really expect an end user to pay 750 dollars for a controller that costs maybe 300-400 to make?

He's not working for the company AFAIK. This is for his own use.
