First of all congrats to OP. Question - What cable lengths would you guys recommend getting to bring to clubs and just to have for general purposes?

personally i never get shorter then the 3 ft length
Also, this is an exact reason why its best to goto the club on a night BEFORE your gig.
You can even go while some other dj is playing. usually the best thing to do anyway
this way, youll have 1st hand knowledge from someone else who had to do a hookup
and while you are there, he / she can tell you what they have to bring with them

    Another note
i always bring TWO extension cords but i bring the one that goes into a wall outlet on one end (obviously) whle the other end i plug my stuff into, actually has "3" female recepticals
That gives me the option of pluggin in at least TWO power strips
(which i also bring with me)
and 4 additional BLOCK sized plugs with no conflict on space

    It looks like this

    i SWEAR this is GOLD
its a true space saver in times liike these

i keep two of these at at least 10 - 15 feet
    and a 3rd short 5ft extension cord.
And two power strips that have the ON OFF switch mounted on TOP

(DO NOT GET A STRIP WITH THE SWITCH ON THE SIDE) something is going to go wrong there!)

RCA's usually dont have to be all that long, but all the other wires I have are 15 ft, which is usually 5 ft longer then I need, but every once in awhile I need every inch of that 15 ft.

Make sure you play Levels and Epic for your first two songs.

    Hey all,

Just started a new thread to update you guys on how it went. I'll save most of the info for the new thread but I didn't need an RCA cable. It turns out I needed an XLR cable (which of course I didn't have) so I had to bum one off of one of the other DJ's.

Overall great night though and can't thank you guys enough for all the great feedback.

I attached a picture of the cable I needed to use to get things going.
