Traktor Library

I was looking for some suggestions on where people placed there main Traktor music library. Should I place it in a folder inside of Traktor, or just have it on my desktop. I'm sure there is a much better way to asks this but hopefully you understand what I'm asking.

Essentially I do a fair amount of prep work on my ipad, but I'm having problems with metadata transferring from my laptop to my ipad. Also when I have an itunes playlist open in tractor, it asks me to import it to the collection.

Any tips or tricks I would be very thankful or if I have missed a previous thread like this please point me in that direction.
