x1600 setup

I have got a dn-x1600 recently and there are many options on it. I have been watching some videos how to set it up properly so I can hear the sound, but still no sound is coming out and I got to go to work...

I got a pair or mackie mk2 and xlr cables for it connected to the mixer, I have installed the asio drivers and updated firmware. The dn-x1600 audio is set up to default and usb mode is B.

I want it to work as a soundcard for my speakers and a pc like playing winamp. What I am missing?

Have you told your PC to use the 1600 as the default sound card? When I had my 1600 I routed all the computer audio minus alerts through the mixer, but that was on a Mac.

Yes I did, but there is no sound coming out.

Have you set all your mixer channels to USB mode?

makar1 I did, but it didnt worked. After work I switched USB Assign mode to MASTER and it seems to work finally! The manual for this mixer is a bit confusing.

Pretty much done it! I wonder why you set up deck d to recording? Why dont use a internal recording device? Cheers.

i did this video specifically for another member's question, also recording internally when using an external mixer doesn't work. try it

Works fine but I can not record anything except what is in D deck, what about this one?

Now it is working just fine, the damn think got me nevous today...

Now when I record 4decks the recorded sound is full of cracking sounds, flick's... but I dont hear them when I'm recoding. what the hell?
