    What OS are you using?

    If it's Windows, be careful with the Focusrite - I've had nothing but trouble with mine.
    Works fine on my macbook though.

    I currently use an Echo AudioFire 4.....very low latency with its FW setup and the price is very low online....

    Ahh yeah just re-read, mine is the USB version - which is dodgy on Windows - although since I put it into my USB hub seems better behaved.

    Yeah that's the Scarlett line, bit of a hit and miss depending on the rig.

    Would it be a lot less risky on a MBP ?
