Default Recording with Audacity and external mixer

Hi all, having difficulty recording my mixes with audacity, using a behringer ddm4000 and an M-audio fast track soundcard. Audacity doesn't seem to be picking up any sound at all, any ideas or advice on what settings I should use?

Ya, how is it hooked up and does your computer read the external soundcard?
Where there's the microphone select the external soundcard. I'm using Versaport as you can see in the photo.

From a quick Google search it seems that the M-Audio Fast Track does not have a stereo input. Unless you have the Fast Track Pro?

Yeah, how are you getting the mixed audio from out of your DDM and into your computer?

Its a fast track pro, the mixer has midi and mixer functionality so, usb to midi cable for traktor function and then I have 2 inputs going from the soundcard to two assigned channels on the mixer

Think of what happens to the audio. Your computer is sending out 2 channels of audio to your mixer. Your mixer is summing the audio (based on your faders, crossfader, EQ, FX etc), and then sending out the mixed audio to your sound system. To record this audio, you need to place your recording device between the outputs of your mixer and your sound system. You will need to run the rec out of your mixer to an input on your Fast Track Pro and record that input.

You'll need one of these cables to connect the TAPE OUT of the DDM 4000 to your Fast Track Pro:
