    this changes everything.... its a must have! this paired with an x1 and a midi fighter, is an unstoppable combo. i must say this REALLY puts the hurt on the midifighter mixer djtechtools was planing.....

    also this is pretty valuable tool for on the go producers, who just want a small 24/96 sound card that doubles as a mixer.. Genius move NI

    It's for iPad users, and computer users who want to use it modular style with an X1 or F1 though. Although from a purely iPad perspective, for me it would've been perfect with the four cue buttons from the Z2 to use as transport/cues. - these are still functions I'd rather use as physical buttons.

    I don't use software of any kind, so excuse my lack of insight. This is basically just a mixer, correct?

    Yes and no. It's a MIDI controller laid out like a mixer, with a built-in soundcard. The Traktor software does the mixing.

    So if you wanted a similar feeling to, say an S2, what would you use it in conjunction with? An X1? Isn't an X1 also a midi controller? I confusey.

    Nowwwww... Iffff.... NI somehow updates traktor to run two of these with 4 decks...now we have something!

    its great for the ipad dj... and people who have gridded tracks and a x1 , f1...
    doesnt do alot for the people with a proper mixer...



    reminds me of djtechs controller...



    its marmite device for me...
