Default HELP! Allen & Heath Xone 62 + KRK Rokit 5

    Hi guys,

So I have just purchased an Allen & Heath Xone 62, and can't wait for it to arrive!

I was just wondering, looking at the connections on the back, is it ok to plug my Rokit's into the 1/4 booth monitor jacks at the back for home use?

I.e. I would then have nothing plugged into the main out... but does that matter? If so then I can grab some XLR cables? I believe it is for the main out.

    Thanks!

You can use the booth outs, but its best to use the XLRs. Rec outs are -10db out of the mixer.

The REC out is -10dBV, and the Booth out is -2dBu vs the +4dBu of the Master out.

Using the Booth Output is fine, but it is unbalanced so there's a chance you may get more noise vs. the XLR Master out.

If you use cable with a lenght under 20 meters you won't have any problems with a unbalanced output.
