Default Stanton ST.150 vs Audio Technica LP1240

So need to upgrade my turntables (AT-LP1240) and i came across a deal a Stanton ST.150 for 430 or a Audio Technica LP1240 for 359. It seem right to get the cheaper one because there very similar but i fear that the Audio Technica may not stand the test of time the stanton are built like a tank and i know people be killing them but im just not sure, HELP with a little advise

they're the same, both have the same motor both send line level, I think the stanton has a longer throw pitchfader and a straight arm option. The only other difference aside from the chasis is the Audio Technica has a usb output to rip vinyl "it isn't a low latency dvs soundcard"

I prefer the stanton cause the straight arm is superior for scratching and it looks the part with the square edges.

As a Stanton St150 owner, I'd say go with the AT.

Your back will thank you. The AT is 27lbs where the Stanton is 35lbs

If he takes his whole set to gigs then yeah i'd say go with the Audio Technica. The stantons 150's are build like a tank but they weigh like one too
