Default NS7 II Sexiest controller ever?

    http://www.numark.com/microsites/ns7ii

Hey guys, this is the link for it, Im very jealous right now, fuck you serato. They just dont make make cool things for Traktor it seems. With that said, this seems to have the potential to make the DDJ-SX a run for its money. What do you guys think? I think it's very sexy!

Unfortunatly its biggest strength is also its biggest weakness. It Weighs almost triple what the DDJ-SX weighs due to the Direct Drive Motors.

The Market Segment is unfortunately somewhat limited somewhat to DJ's who really want/need a motorized platter in order to perform AND willing to cart around the unit to every gig. A great many of these are already die-hard DVS/turntable fans and owners so its not a threat whatsoever to the DDJ-SX IMHO.

However yep, the current crop of Serato Controllers are tending to look more "pro" than their respective NI counterparts.

Really good CDJ/TT replacement to keep at home or in the booth though, without lugging it around. Maybe it won't be THAT heavy. Numark is making some quality stuff atm, very proud of my ''indestructible'' 4Trak.

It weighs in at over 15kg's .. Yes it is pretty heavy (about equivalent to a 1210+mixer or twice the weight of the 4trak)

They are bloody gorgeous, don't get me wrong (and I'd love a pair at home), they just have a narrower market segment than both the competition and their own offerings.

the big upside that it has for the turntable mobile DJ is that it's plug and play. There's alot be said for not having to plug anything up when you get to a gig. I have 1200's at home, for mobile parties have an NS6. I had an NS7 for a while....if I had to do it all over again, I'd keep the NS7 for the mobile gigs. It's heavy, but still more convenient than lugging 2 x 1200's and a mixer. The NS7 II sure does look nice and has some really neat features with the touch sensitive knobs.

I'll get one in a year once the price comes down and the bugs get worked out.
