Hey,
I am not sure whether to buy a pair of CDJ 2000 nexus or to wait a little
longer until they launch a new product. Can anyone tell me from experience
in which time interval Pioneer usually launches new products..
Thanks for any input

Don't think it's gonna be for awhile. Next step up from 2000 Nexus? Controlling the CDJ with your kegel muscles.
The CDJ2000 Nexus was released last year and Pioneers top end CDJ's usually have a shelf life of 3 years before Pioneer update them (roughly). So you would be safe to buy them now..
people are still rocking cdj 1000s and those are 12 yrs old. the 2000nexus has more features than you would ever use.

Yea, its gonna be awhile before you see anything new from the Pioneer tent. They just revamped their entire production line and would be silly to make any of it obsolete before making their money first.
Do you think a 900 nexus may happen? No hot cues, but wave display?

Guess not as the high-end display is only for the CDJ2000.
Product differentiation isn't it? A 900 with the LCD screen/waveform would probably take a not-insignificant chunk of 2000 sales.
The hot-cues must be a bit more achievable (within Pioneers pricing/line-up strategy), given that just about every other non-Pioneer media player has them. I'd have absolutely loved them on my CDJ900s, it was the main thing that persuaded me to upgrade.
