    Default VCI-100 and Connectiv?

    Hi Guys,

I've not been on the forums to much as of late as when i finally orderd my vci-100 lost my job and had to cancel the vci-100 order

Things are better now and I am looking to get back on track, and what I already have is a connectiv as a sound card, and my question is can I use this as the sound card for the vci-100?And does anybody already do so?

    Many thanks.

    sure it'll work.
We don't believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise-daftpunk

    Default Connectiv

    Thanks for the reply.

I have been playing with a "Version" of traktor scratch tonight and I am well happy so I hope I don't need a new sound card as the connectiv seems fine as a sound card, I know it's no audio 4 or 8, but it looks better than the maya usb or the numark i/o?

Anyone actually use it with a vci100?

there was a guy on djforums that did a test of the popular DVS soundcards and found the connectiv is a good sounding card.

i've owned the dj/io, the connectiv package and now have a firebox. i returned torq before i got the vci-100 but there is no reason they won't work together.

i'd prefer the connetiv box over the dj/io any day.

    Default Torq

Exellent, I shall be keeping the Connectiv and trying it with a vci-100 in a few weeks when funds are there.

I have been messing with Traktor Scratch pro and with house its really easy to sync and mix and i can see the positives of vci-100, but when i am syncing urban stuff like r'n'b or hip-hop then its not so easy, I am watching ian's tuts on youtube regarding features of traktor pro.

i'm one of those rare djtt members who doesn't use traktor, so not sure how to help with that one.

only perhaps to check your beatgrids on the other stuff, normally house is 4/4 and easier for tracktor to beatgrid

I'm pretty much 75% R'n'B Dj with a bit of UK garage and the odd bit of House, Once i learn how to beat grid the slower stuff then i shall be away.
