Default F1 Shelf / Bracket for Kontrol S4 Case

OK, I decided to take the plunge and buy an F1. Thought I'd have a go as I'm sure with a bit of practice I could get some great new sets. Just need to put the practice in!! Ha.
One problem I came across was that I had no where to put it in my set up.

I have a genuine NI case for my S4 and use the S4 in its case with the lid of the case as a base to get the right height for me on my table. One problem with this is that it gives no area to have any extra control surfaces (although I've never needed any in the past!) So I needed something to get it up to the same height as the S4.

    Came up with this idea.......

It slots in between the outer edge of the case and the slider for the laptop tray

and will fit either side of the case

I used a grinder to put some cut outs so it will fit over the catches on both sides

It's made from 2mm mild steel, primed and then painted in matt black.

The cut outs on the bottom edge are so it will slot in the lid catch and this ensures it will not move when pushing pads and also prevents it moving from front to back and also allows me to swap to either side.

Yeh, go for it. I recon it could be made with acrylic sheeting easier than the steel I used + it would be lighter as well.
