Was looking for the correct "D" shaft knobs at a reasonable price and nothing took my fancy, found these ones that had a spline shaft and figured I could perhaps butcher them to fit ...
Half hour with a mini-blowtorch, some careful placement and lookie
Have 3 left over as well as they came in packs of 10.
