    Default DDJ-SX or S4 and F1

Currently I use my companies 4trak along with my F1 using the tekken mapping for fx. I'm looking to buy my own mixer so I don't need to use the companies. We are starting to do music videos with serato video. So my question is would it be better to buy an S4 and use my F1 for effects with traktor then MIDI map the S4 on serato when I do music videos. Or buy a DDJ-SX and use that for music videos on serato, then use the pioneer mapping for traktor and have the F1 for effects still.

I doubt the S4 will map well to Serato. Do you have other Serato hardware to unlock the software?

If you are going to be using Serato (video) the S4 is not going to work well if at all. Only option for using Serato is to have one of it's compatible controllers. So go get the SX if works fine with Traktor (I've used it over a year Traktor/ Mixvibes Cross)
