Not exactly my type but it's well done man, loving the chilled out vibe. I'd probably get some good feedback if I played this out.
I think you're onto something - I'd continue to develop it if I were you.
If I were doing it, I'd move the vocals in your breakdowns back a bit. The vocals of the original (which I LOVE) don't fall on the down beat.
I'd like to hear more of the original vocals, too.
But I like it.

Yes you are not the first who suggested to me more vocals but the problem with the vocals is they ride onto of the drums and rest of the percussion and since this track was recorded live the kicks and snares of the original aren't perfectly in time so it sounds awkward when mixing. I hope that made sense.
I hate Fleetwood Mac, but it's a good remix. Maybe tone the vocal that kicks in at 2:07 down a bit?
Hmm I just tried reopening the project. Shifting down gets too many artifacts I think. But shifting up 3 semitones didn't sound too bad too me.
