    Default No genre confusion

    Hiya!

Okay, so, I've been DJing for about a year now. Mostly bar work, weddings and the occasional party.
All been great fun and I've taken some positives out of all of them but one thing I have noticed is..I haven't really formed a specific genre I like to dj/mix.
I know what I don't like- pop/cheese but I genuinely like a lot of stuff from almost everything else.

I look at Giles Peterson as a good example of what I'm trying to go for.
More about the music selection than anything else.

I'm sure this isn't a bad thing but i am slightly confused on how best to promote myself and get gigs as a 'no genre' dj.
    Any thoughts?

Use words like "eclectic" and "balearic"? You'd be best showcasing some tunes in a mix for promoters. If you already know the bar/party/whatever already has a music policy you know you fit in with, you shouldn't have any problems.
