    Default CYCLOOPS today alternatives....?

    hey guys

Do you remember Cycloops ? that device that could record loops on the fly while djing ?

I am looking for something similar since Cycloops are very rare and can't find any on Ebay,I saw Kaoss Pad KP and looks good, but are there any other similar products ?

Actually I'd like to have an external recorder/plaer as a "rescue" device in case my laptop crashes.Cycloops was great in doing this, you could restart your laptop and let it do the job.

    thank you

Yeah - I remember it! It was pretty good fun - but the tempo detection wasn't great...

There are lots of "Phrase" type samplers - check some of these out:

I've only ever used teh BOSS SP-202 - but that was a brilliant little sampler. I'd recommend it.

thanks for the links brother !!! I really appreciate this.

Another question, are these SP boxes able to "nudge" the speed realtime while mixing ? like the CDJ's do with the jog wheel ? so I can beatmach with other sources?

    thanks again.

Recordcase.de have some old stock of the Soundbite Micro on eBay.

That's the tiny little later version with midi clock output too.

Every now again I look at it and get tempted... Only £50!

and the Pull/Push buttons are used in order to beatmatch with an other source? my main concern is if these boxes do this

Yeah, that's what they're for; I haven't used a Micro (I've still got an original Cycloops somewhere), but for the price I reckon it might be worth a shot...

Such a shame Red Sound died. A truly innovative company.
