looking at a pair of hdj1000's-1500's, but it looks like its a clean break, so i may be able to repair them save some cash

15 years old and sound sweeter then the day I bought them - don't look quite as well but function just fine and not breaks anywhere.
and so i call upon the powers of DUCT TAPE.
I used to go through a pair every 6-12 months. Then I got HD25s, haven't need a new set in years.

so i have settled on a pair of audio technica m35's for now and the local shop said they will send my shures out for free repair 0_0
I had these and they lasted me two weeks, the cable going into the cans mucked up on me but I really liked them although I did not buy another pair.
I have a 2 year old at home who wears my KRK 8400's daily and throws them, pulls them apart and they have not taken any damage, I suggest those head phones for sure but if you are clubbing frequently you will find they don't go loud enough for that.
& KRKS have replacement parts
