Ok so new new set up are 2 pioneer cdj900 nexus's and a traktor z2. Yea I understand it's silly using a z2 with cdjs but I won it from traktor over Xmas. What is the best or easiest way to use the z2 to it's best ability but with out traktor. Honestly I'm not sure it is anything but faders with out traktor. Also my headphone are sol republics. They have the v10 in them and bass really hits and are very clear when your on stage and the pa's are overwhelming you.

The Z2 works as a standalone mixer, if that's what you're asking.

I haven't tried this myself yet but I think you could set traktor's inputs to be live inputs, and use the Z2 to do effects in tractor and normal mixing functions?

Edit: you could also fill your remix decks with air horn samples and play those

That's what I'm trying to fugue out and yea your right my bad! But is there a way to use the z2 with out a computer but still have so e feature abilities? Ie effects or samples or something. I would like to be able to at just off CDs or USB

Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to use Z2 effect without a computer. It uses the effects through traktor so using it in standalone means no effects.

You can use the effects by routing audio as live input in traktor instead of a track deck. You won't be able to use looping or cue points (besides with your cdj) and time based effects would be unreliable at best. However,other effects can have good results. And the filters knobs can work with out a computer.
