Default Samples and Remix Decks in Traktor for Production

    Hey all,

Im trying to make my own mixes with my own beats and sounds. I have the new s4 and f1 and am trying to buy sample packs to play this stuff live and mix it in with other songs.

    My question is,

I love the Goldbaby urban cookbook it has a collection of the exact sounds im looking for. If i buy it will i be able to use the samples directly with traktor or will i need the Komplete software to make my beats and then save them to use as loops and one shots with my f1?

    Thanks.

As far as I see it, the pack includes mostly single hits/one shots in various formats including WAVE files. You could use the WAVE files in Traktor's remix decks, but I could imagine making beats from scratch using only one-shot drum hits in the remix decks could be quite hard...

Komplete won't help you at all, since it's only a sampler, but to turn those one shots into beats/loops you need a sequencer program. You could use Maschine or a full-grown DAW like Ableton, Logic, FL Studio,...

    Thousands of 'em.
