Default Looking for a solid USB Audio interface

Basically what I am going to use it for is recording my set's. Currently I am DJ-ing using 2 CDJ's and a mixer, nothing concerning MIDI or anything yet but I am thinking about switching it up in the future...

Really though what I have right now is: http://tascam.com/product/us-125m/

It get's the job done but I would like a proper upgrade and a decent amount of inputs/outputs and I would like it to be compatible with MIDI for the future if I decide to mess around with Ableton Live or Traktor. There are a lot of candidates that fit that picture I guess so I'm not entirely sure what to go with. Budget aside, what would you recommend for the long haul?

    Thanks in advance

How many analog in/out-puts do you need or expect to need in the future? Focusrite offer some decent quality for the price, Moto, RME are also very nice options. But cost a few $ more..

    Hey, thanks for the reply!

I would like at least 4 inputs/outputs, just to have some headroom. It's nice to be able to hook up everything in one go without having to switch up devices and stuff which I have to do now just to record. I just don't want to regret my decision a few years down the road and find out it's lacking like I am now.

I was looking at this one http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/ultralite-mk3 as an option, seems like quality gear. Would like to hear other's opinion and experiences with certain interfaces

Ultralite is awesome. If you can afford it, get it.

Is it suitable for live performance as well as studio recording? I've heard these kinds of cards can be quite vulnerable/fragile what is your experience with this?

I have the Ultralite MKI (Firewire only), and it is an awesome piece of kit.

I used to run 4 channels out of Ableton Live into a DJM-600 and never had a hiccup.

Do you have any firewire connections (or one of these)? I might be willing to sell mine for the right price...

I suspect that if you already own Traktor scratch Pro, you COULD use it for Timecode Vinyl, too, using the How- To detailed on this very site...
