    you do have to "click" to make it register as a press but the actual buttons are soft, only thing that bothers me though is trying to do cue point juggling as the buttons are pretty small and close,

    So bugger it novation dicers it is. Only problem now is the amount of USB ports as i would still like to use the X1 for effects

    Why not both eventually? I like the idea of having cues or buttons wherever I need them.. I'm actually looking to get an RP-8000 in the future though so I'm not sure how helpful dicers might be for the decks I eventually want to have at home... But on the road I imagine dicers are still very lovely.. and the Z2 is a killer mixer.. I love mine dearly.

    thats the plan to get both ! just wish I had the money now
