Monitor Setup Question

Ok, so elementary question here.. I just ordered a pair of krk rokit 8's and I'm wondering what is the best way to hook them up to my Toshiba laptop. I have an Audio 2 DJ and obviously when I'm using Traktor or a DAW I will run them through that soundcard, but should I use a splitter on the RCA cable out of channel A to get sound to both monitors? Also, is it possible to use the soundcard to just play regular audio out of the laptop (such as soundcloud, YouTube, ect.)? Or what would be the best way to do that?

Appreciate anyone's help and hope this isn't covered somewhere else on the site or forum.

Sure, you can use a splitter for the monitors, and yes, you can use the soundcard for regular audio as well.
