    Default Choosing Macbook Air

I'm now choosing the specs of the Macbook Air I'm going to buy.

When choosing SSD Memory, RAM and Processor which is the most important for playing with traktor?

The basic MBA is i5, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD.

It is very expensive here in Brazil so I just can't choose i7, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD which are the maximum.

Do I need i7 processor? Do I need 8GB RAM and will Traktor (and I will only use Traktor) use all the 8GB of RAM? And regarding SSD memory I think 256GB is big enough for me.

So how should I spend my money?

    Thanks!

I run a macbook air 11 with an I5 8gb of ram 128 ssd all works fine only thing I wish I had a bigger ssd tbh saying that I am more selective with my music due to low space.

Traktor will run fine an an i3 with 2GB of RAM - you don't "need" any upgrades.

Upgrading to 8GB RAM will have the most benefit on overall computer performance outside of Traktor.

Seeing as how expensive Macbooks are currently in Brazil. I'd get at least an i5 with at least 4gb - it'll last you 3 or 4 years.

With any luck Traktor 3 is on the horizon and might need the extra ram and CPU.

By then I hope Foxconn are manufacturing Macbooks in Brazil soon and the price can go down for your next upgrade by then.

Yea, I've been reading about this, is it possible to upgrade the RAM of the newest version of Macbook Air? I mean, by myself.

Because, if its not, I think I will wait till Black Friday and buy a 8GB RAM one so I don't need to worry about it on the next few years.

So one thing is clear here, i5 processor is just fine for what I'm doing right?
