Default Best speakers for Traktor S4 home setup?

    Hello everyone,

I have a pair of Yamaha HS50M's (studio monitors) to hear back my mixing through my Traktor S4.
Unfortunately I find most of my low frequencies are completely lost with these monitors and barely get any bass coming out of them.

I'm looking to buy speakers for home play and maybe a few parties here and there.
I want that bass to really stand out.

Any help will be appreciated it. Thank you!

M-Audio BX8's sound great, when they're not screwing up that is. I've had problems with the cones going nuts cause of some bad connections. Had to send them back to The factory for repairs, and i think it's happening again... Kind of a warning more than a suggestion, isn't it?

Adding a sub would be the best option for personal use.

Studio monitors are not suitable for parties, so you might want to invest in some small PA speakers for that.

The best? Funktion One. Hands down. Stop looking. Those are about the best speakers for any given application. Enjoy.

Assuming that you don't have $3k to $5k to spend per box....

Add a powered 8" or 10" sub to the monitors you have. Put it on the floor.

Try JBL LSR 305 or 308 if you can afford them. Amazing Speakers! They have good bass response. The lows on these 5" can challenge monitors up to 7". JBL's go louder than the Yamaha's and fill out bigger rooms.
