my friend got back to me. he directed me to this wiki site that pretty much spells it all out for hardware. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.8.2

looks nice, i'd pull things out of the corner and try to keep the speakers 18"+ from the walls... corners amplify stuff and if you are working on tracks you'll not hear it quite right. looks like a good place to jam, I'd look at sound absorption next.

    UPDATE 9-15-14

i've sold the djm 350 for an A&H xone42, while also adding a RMX 500. the desk is small, so getting all of my gear on there properly has become a bit of a challenge. A big thanks goes out to uncle sam for that tax return.

Needs less blinking lights and more furniture.

I couldnt stand working with those ergonomics. Go spend a couple hundred at Ikea on a DJ bench, it will change your life.

agreed, however the room that i have this in kind of tough to find the right shuffle of furniture. a waterfall set up might be the best thing to do.

    UPDATE 4-7-15

    Attachment 25081
I've created a better working environment in my small studio room. I found this piece of wood, where i think came from a larger ikea desk, and placed it on top of my existing desk. I've also replaced my rokit 6's with HS5 and a HS10.
