    Default Basic setup

What gear would you recommend for basic DJ-ing? No mixing no tricks just very good quality playback maybe two channels and some time need to use a mike. I`m using J-River mp and an Audacity dragonfly now and want to upgrade. The simpler the better. Thanks

    What is your budget?

Are you using this mixer for paid gig's or is it for personal use?

What are you planning to use to play the music?

Depending on your needs you may not even need a traditional DJ mixer if your not doing any beatmatching, mixing, or scratching and are using line level equipment for music playback. All you might need is a 3 channel live mixer like a Mackie 402VLZ4, Yamaha MG06, or Yamaha MG06X (same as MG06 but with built-in effects).
