Just curious, why doesn't Denon X600 fit your needs?

If you're wanting to hook up effects, why don't you just switch TSP2 to through mode and run your vinyl through the software so you can use those effects?

I'll give you another idea... Has nothing to do about buying a new mixer...
But, since you have a Launchpad, I think you have Ableton Live...

So if your dream is expand your dj set with lots of particular effects you can use Traktor and Ableton live together.... No sync and other stuff required... It's simply a routing where you send your decks rom Traktor to Ableton, apply any effect you want to them, and after send them to your master... It's more difficult try to explain instead of doing it.

With this solution you don't have to buy a new mixer, save a lot of money, but maybe you will need a controller for controlling Ableton's effects sends.... Maybe a korg nanokontrol for 50€ is enough...

Think about it... Here is the guide to do that

Though there's a pretty big downside to that, I think - it seems like you'd no longer be able to preview your cues in your headphones with that setup.

No... You can... In the video he use his MacBook internal soundcard but if you do this with the djm t1 you are able to cueing each tracks... Ableton is simply an add...

I personally tried this setup with an audio 8.... It's really funny to play with this configuration...

I did that with my S4 before I sold it but I found the audio sound to be very low, furthermore, you have to go into the software itself to flip between Live and Scratch mode

Just looked and the DN X1600 seems quite a good deal with a scratch soundcard, built in effects and send/return. Will do some more invest on that. cheers

Looks good but I don't want to route live audio when I play vinyl through the live input in Traktor. I will have a play though to see how I can use it.

I am liking the freebie options that are meaning I can retain my DJM-T1.

I am also checking out some second hand stuff on ebay - DN X1600, Xone 4D etc etc

This post may sound that I don't know what I want well that it is kind of true now. It has enabled me to open my eyes to products I had dismissed or had completely missed.

Thanks for all the input so far.

if you can score a x1600 then go for it definitely (look at my sig). better features than a pio 900 nexus for half the price (what idiot would put a usb port on the top of a mixer for a start)
