Default Is multiple clips the only way to mimic Traktor Hotcues?

My biggest issue with DJing with Ableton over Traktor is having to separate a song into multiple clips if I want hotcue-like function when all I really want is to jump around sections of a track. Is there any other way?

Not to my knowledge, without cheating and using something like DecaDance VST.

Copy the entire track into as many cells as you need and then just change the start point on each clip is kinda the only and easiest way to achieve this.

You can actually click and drag a collection of clips into the browser, and set that set of clips as a single Live file (.alc?).

Then, next time you want to use those clips, just drag and drop th esingle file from teh browser, and all of your "cue point" (separate clips) will be loaded...

I suppose that tidies up the library but I assume you are still left with how many clips in your session view. I guess to get the features of Ableton you have to deal with the complexity as say over Traktor.
